Katie Soeder, LPC, NCC
I’ve been a practicing Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania since 2019, but my curiosity about what facilitates emotional, psychological, and relational hurt—and healing—goes back as far as I can remember. My love for learning about people and supporting them on their individual and collective journeys has only deepened as I’ve witnessed what’s possible when there’s a strong therapeutic connection.
I approach my work through a relational-cultural lens, which means I believe relationships are central to how we develop, why we struggle, and how we grow into the people we want to be. These relationships might include those with friends, family, community, culture, and — perhaps most importantly — the one you have with yourself. In our work together, we’ll take these experiences, stories, and connections into account as we explore the hopes you hold for your life.
Depending on your goals, I incorporate mindfulness-based strategies to support areas needing care, while drawing on your existing strengths and supports. I also draw upon modalities such as Narrative Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, CBT, Attachment Theory, and Interpersonal Neurobiology to support other areas of our work. Together, we’ll discover and implement new ways of showing up in the world that feel more aligned with the life you want to live.
Some common themes I work with include: identity exploration, cultivating secure attachments, relationship and family issues, co-dependency, ADHD and neurodivergence, self-acceptance and compassion, managing stress responses, and navigating significant life transitions. I’ve supported clients in both short-term and long-term work—each person’s needs are different, and I’m here to help you find what’s right for you.
If what I’ve shared resonates with you, I’d love to connect.
